RD Athletics is proud to be Brockville’s only semi-private personal training facility. This means that up to 8 (very friendly and encouraging) individuals will be training in the gym during any given training block, but each with their own individual program designed and taught by the RD Athletics staff to ensure proper exercise selection and execution by each and every client.

Semi-private personal training allows for:

  • Reduced Cost - sessions start as low as $10/workout vs. $60+ for the traditional one-on-one format.

  • Motivation - By working out at the same time as other members, you receive and provide motivation and push each other as everyone works toward improving their fitness in a highly inclusive environment.

  • Programming - Ever walk into the gym not sure about what to do? As a semi-private facility, all of your programming is created for you, specific to your needs. No guessing about your workout!

In addition, RD Athletics is proud to be the only facility offering training services of any kind by a Registered Kinesiologist/Certified Exercise Physiologist. While traditional personal training certifications require little more then a 2 weekend course to be licensed, Ryan has gone through a bachelors and masters of science, and some PhD work in the field of kinesiology and maintains active registration as both a registered massage therapist and registered Kinesiologist. This is extremely important as getting good results in training is a science, and the better your coach understands the human body and how it works from physiology to biomechanics, the better and more efficiently they can assist you in getting you to your health and fitness goals.

In order to create the best program for your needs, all new clients are required to participate in a one hour 1-on-1 assessment with one of our trainers. This session includes a body composition analysis, aerobic fitness, mobility & movement screening and strength assessment that enables us to write your individual personalized program. Once completed, your future program adjustments and updates are included in the monthly fee and occur approximately every 6 - 8 weeks of completed work-outs, depending on your specific needs and goals.
